Katherine Jackson
Artist Bio
She is a dancer, a jack of all trades, and a fan base girl. Growing up in Columbus, Indiana, she started dancing at the age of 3 and never stopped. Trained in multiple forms of dance, including ballet, musical theatre, jazz, and many more. She specializes in tap and jazz. Tap is one of her longest-running dance forms, as I started out doing the style, and later got into hip hop through masterclasses. Being a more analytical dancer, she finds that the little things are important and the more you focus on getting the small things make, the larger picture looks better. While also having fun and putting smiles on people's faces. While dance is a large passion, she also has experience in building sets and running lights.
Artistic Mission
I have always found that dancing is a way to free myself and be able to escape the world around me and live in another for a short while. I’ve always been a lover of comics and pop culture in general so to bring these characters that are beloved by many into a dance setting and tell their stories in a way that has never been done before. I want to create pieces with familiar characters from comics, pop culture to tell their stories and bring them to life.
My work will take people out of this world and into another to forget about their problems and worries of the outside world and submirge them into another. I want to create these works to bring dance into another niche group of people and allow dance to expand even more into crowds they never thought to touch. Bring more smiles and inspiration for broadening the dance horizons.

Columbus Signature Acadamy/North High School
2019-2022
Obtained my Core 40 high school diploma. Learned real world skills such as public speaking, group projects and strong interpersonal relationships. As well as starting my love for musical theatre and theatre in general.
Dancers Studio
2020-2022
Joined dancer's studio in the Spring of my Junior Year of High School to the end of my senior year. To get more training that focus on technique. I was in their production of Nutcracker and Cinderella. Here i trained in Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop.

Danced at this studio from the ages 3 to 17. Here I was trained in Tap, Jazz, Jazz Funk, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Lyrical. Here I also started my Teachers Assistant Training.
